RopeImageA rope gets exponentially stronger with each added cord. One is pretty weak. Two is better. Three works well. Four or more…?

Let’s just say, even I couldn’t rip that one up there.

Sonitrol of Louisville is like that rope. We offers four general categories of products. But when we can combine them for our customers, each systems becomes individually stronger.

  1. Fire systems tell you when there’s a fire.
  2. Intrusion systems tell you when there’s a break-in.
  3. Access systems allow you to manage your doors more effectively.
  4. Video systems gives you eyes where you can’t otherwise see.

One of the options that sets Sonitrol apart from other types of security companies is how we’re able to integrate these systems together. Let me give you some examples.

Ways to integrate security systems

  • Fire and access: When your fire system detects a fire, your doors in your facility can be set to automatically open. This can allow the fire department easy access to save your facilities while also allowing those inside to get out safely. With a traditional key system, the fire department might have to destroy some doors to get into your building.
  • Intrusion and video: Instead of letting your cameras record non-stop, using resources when they’re not needed, you can set your cameras to begin recording only when the intrusion system detects trouble. This means you still catch video of what you need, but you’re not recording over all the downtime.
  • Access and intrusion: When all your doors open through an access system, it’s easy to track who enters or exists your facilities. So even if someone steals something from your warehouse, tripping a motion sensor, for example, you can check the access record to see which key, associated with which person, might have been the culprit.

These are just a few quick examples of how the separate types of systems can be integrated to create a much more robust system overall.

Many security systems can offer one system by itself. It’s harder to find a company like Sonitrol that knows how to seamlessly combine separate systems into one.
